Silverlight and Flash player Webcam\Mic setting sees TV adapter
Silverlight and Flash player Webcam\Mic setting sees TV adapter Using I.E. 9 Beta, in a Silverlight stream right click->Settings for "Webcam\Mic" tab, my WinTV HVR 980 USB TV (Capture Mode) adapter is displayed as a webcam and actually shows live TV stream. I have no way to turn this off. While Flash Player also equates my TV adapter to a web cam, it does not show the stream. If I also had a Webcam I suppose it would be there too. I don't know if this is new with upgraded I.E. or Silverlight, but wonder why both streaming players consider my TV adapter to be a Webcam, whether this degrades reception or is a security concern or what.

This is because the Windows 7 compatible driver is not installed. I suggest you download the driver from: Hauppauge Computer Works Support Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. Having also posted this to I.E. forum and getting answer that I should check Adobe & Silverlight forums I close this thread since there are no answers coming from the "Windows Side". In Snow Leapord, using Safari neither Flash nor Silverlight see my TV adapter as a webcam.
